From Stanford to the Super Bowl to State Champ: Coach John Paye’s Journey
New episode is up, and this one has state titles, Super Bowl rings, and chipped teeth from Kevin Johnson. Worth a listen. We were joined by Stanford legend John Paye - a two-sport star down on “the farm”, starting QB and Point Guard - and later a 49er QB with guys named Montana and Young. John then went on to win 400+ games and 4 state titles as girls varsity basketball coach at Menlo Girls’ basketball. Not too shabby. This was an awesome discussion with an incredible athlete, coach, and competitor. Thanks for the hang, Coach! Also fun to discuss John’s sister Coach Kate Paye and her ping pong prowess.
